About

Hi! My name is Alyssa Lafage and I write the various ramblings you will find on ConvictionsofFaith.com. I started this blog in 2011 with the intent to write and share my thoughts every once in a while on topics ranging from politics to personal to pop culture. At that time I had a strong conviction to be alert and pay attention to what was going on around me. My feelings were driven by my faith which is where the name comes from. So, I started to study history and became alarmed and deeply concerned for my country. Over time my focus has become more narrow in the direction of sharing my political opinions, including frustration with the American political machine and the extremely biased American media.

It's not all doom and gloom though! I do my best to make the case for limited, Constitutional government and also invite readers to get involved in various projects/activities I support. What began as a personal outlet for me to share my opinion has now become a pretty exciting hobby.

In addition to writing on my blog (which by the way, I am doing far less of but am working to change that) you can find my writing at WayneDupree.com, PolitiChicks, Right Wing News, CNS News and Save Jersey.

A little more about me..

Born and raised in southern New Jersey, I grew up in a large, close nit Italian-American family. I am extremely blessed to have a wonderful mother and step-dad who both made sacrifices in order to give me every opportunity in the world to succeed. Their consistent love and support, along with my siblings and my grandparents, drives me to be the best I can be every single day. And then of course there are my two kitties Nino and Ori who light up my life!

Being the oldest child in the family might have something to do with my opinionated nature. I love to engage in a good conversation and have been known to spark up spirited 'debates' on my Facebook wall. (Follow me here if you'd like)

I am a Christian. I am a conservative. I believe in fiscal responsibility, free market capitalism and LIBERTY! Did I mention that I am a HUGE Mark Levin fan? Yes, that too.

I love America and feel so blessed to have grown up here. I am saddened to see her current state but I really believe that Americans are resilient. I believe that if we each, as individuals, put in effort to use our God-given talents in support of the things we believe in, American can be restored. We won't fix our problems over night but I believe we are the key to making sure that Americas best days will be ahead. We have a strong legacy to uphold and I am going to do everything I can within my power to make a difference.
