What happened yesterday at the Boston Marathon was indeed terrorism and my heart and prayers are with those people. I think it's important to remember that even in the face of terrorism, Americans are resilient. We have always been at our best when trials and adversity come our way. This time will be no different.
I am not going to comment on the ongoing investigation or who is responsible for this terrible act. There are still a lot of unanswered questions and unknowns at this point and it is easy to get caught up in the coverage of such a tragedy. But when things like this happen, we need to understand that officials have their work cut out for them within the first few days. A lot is going on and things change by the minute.
Contrary to what we see coming from eager reporters in the media, the process of determining who is responsible begins first with collecting evidence, which leads to suspects. It is not the other way around.
Holding the right person/group responsible, bringing them to justice and preventing future attacks will all come in time. For now, I think it is important for us to stand with Boston. Pray for the victims, pray for our country and pray for our liberties.
