The left has said that 'corporations aren't people' and that they don't have rights. But would those same people assert that labor unions aren't people and don't have certain rights? Heck no! As with most things, the left picks and chooses the winners and losers as to benefit their own preferred outcomes.
It would only make sense that a voluntary, cooperative association of people be guaranteed rights that those individuals, as individual people, possess. The nature of those relationships should be of no concern to the government, hence free association.
So when the left says that corporations aren't people and tries to strip them of their rights, remember the labor unions. And remember that without individual rights, there are no such thing as collective rights. For anyone.
